2025 UPWARD SEASON!

What is Upward Soccer?

Upward Soccer is a sports program for grade school and middle school kids that teaches both soccer fundamentals and faith principles.  It focuses on five areas of development: effort, offense, defense, sportsmanship, and Christlikeness.

The Upward season plays indoor for 6 weeks during the winter.  Practices are weekly, start two weeks before games, and run throughout the season.

Games and Practices:

  • Games: Saturdays, January 25th-March 2nd
  • Practices will be held on Tuesday (Middle School), Thursday, or Friday evenings beginning January 14th.
  • All games and practices are held indoor in the THFBC Gym (enter through the South/Gym doors).

What equipment is needed?

Jerseys are included in the cost of registration.  Players should wear gym shorts and tennis shoes.  Cleats are not allowed.  For practices, players may bring their own ball or may use one of ours.

Registration is now closed.

What is next?

What is First Strikers?

First Strikers is an age-appropriate developmental program to introduce players, ages 3 and 4, to soccer in a fun environment.  The first half of the session will include games focusing on ball control, balance, and following directions.  A brief "devotional moment" will separate the time with the second half containing "offensive only games" with each child having the opportunity to score multiple goals.

When are the Sessions?

Sessions take place in the THFBC Gym (enter through the South/Gym doors) on Tuesday evenings from 6-6:45PM beginning on January 14th through February 18th.

What equipment is needed?

  • Jerseys are included in the cost of registration.  Players should wear gym shorts and tennis shoes.  Cleats are not allowed.
  • Players may bring their own ball or may use one of ours.
  • Parents are required to be present during all sessions to help keep the balls in play, also to have minor engagement in the games/activities.
  • No evaluations and no specified teams will be formed.  "Offensive only games" are included in the sessions; therefor, no other "game" dates are scheduled.  The players will be grouped and regrouped throughout the evening.

How do I sign up?
