UPWARD BASKETBALL CO-DIRECTOR(S)

First Baptist Church is seeking to hire two Co-Directors for an Upward Basketball Program. This is a part-time, seasonal position with a $2,000 stipend per Co-Director. Hours fluctuate with the job requirements but fall most heavily in September-November and include weeknights and Saturdays.  


Upward Basketball is a new ministry for FBC. We have operated an Upward Soccer program for several years and intend to use the same model. (Details about Upward Sports can be found here.) The program is open to grade school and middle school children, and the season includes preseason evaluations, 7-8 weeks of weeknight practices, 6 Saturday games, and an end-of-season celebration. We anticipate 125+ participants eventually, but the first season may vary depending on the initial response.  


The Co-Directors report to the Senior Pastor and the Upward Basketball Team, which provides support and assistance. Please view the job description below for a list of full responsibilities. Co-Directors may split the job responsibilities as they see fit, but typically one director is more focused on administration/logistics and the other on management/personnel.

FIRST FRIENDS PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR

First Baptist Church is seeking to hire a Director for the First Friends Preschool. This is a part-time, salaried position that we anticipate involving approximately 20 hours/week. First Friends Preschool has classes for children from age 2 up to Pre-Kindergarten with an average enrollment of 125 children.
