Here at First Baptist Church, we take seriously the call in Deuteronomy 6 to extend the stories of our faith from generation to generation.  As a result, we have the First Friends Preschool Ministry to help serve the needs of our church, our community, and to nurture and develop our children both in intellect and spirituality.

While we respect the religious backgrounds of our children's families, we will have a Christian influence in all that we do. This includes grace before snack time, weekly Bible stories, Chapel Time, and encouraging Christian teachings such as loving one another, sharing and forgiving.

Our program's major emphasis is to provide a safe and nurturing environment which promotes the physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual development of each child.  Our curriculum focuses on language, socialization, activity and movement, and we include music, art, small and large muscle activities, stories, and many opportunities to talk and listen.

We gladly welcome all children, accepting each as a special individual uniquely created by God. All of our teachers have degrees or equivalent experience in early childhood or elementary education.
